What can you expect?

馃 Lights dimmed and the oceanarium transformed into haunted house, but don’t worry about scares, fish aren’t too good at that!

馃悹 Free face painting by MSUM students! 

馃悷 Games with prizes! Test your knowledge on some spooky looking fish, help the urchin out on his costume, and try your luck at pick-a-duck! 

馃寠 Waiting your turn for other activities? Well, we’ve got you covered there too with coloring and crafts tables!

馃崿 And of course… CANDY!

NOTE: With the exception of Halloween, the Oceanarium will NOT be holding open hours until Early November 2026 in order to properly train our students and make updates for your facility. However, you can still schedule tours!

The Minnesota State Moorhead Oceanarium is available for group tours, provided they are scheduled in advance to ensure staffing. Regular Oceanarium hours are now available check the webpage for details.

Please review the following guidelines before scheduling your tour using the form below.

  1. The Oceanarium is available for scheduled tours weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  2. Scheduled tours are 50 minutes long.
  3. Tours must be requested two weeks (14 days) in advance to ensure staffing.
  4. Tours cost $7 per person.
  5. Cash or check payments are highly preferred. If a guest must use a card or purchase order, arrangements should be made with the Business Services Department prior to the tour.
  6. Tour groups should include a minimum of 12 people. Groups of fewer than 12 people may be arranged for a $60 fee.
  7. Tour groups may not exceed 49 people.
  8. Elevator access is available.
  9. Guests may park in the . As 6th Avenue South is currently closed for construction, guests are encouraged to enter the G4 lot from the north (5th Ave S). There is no cost for parking.
